CartoonVegas operates out of one caricature stand in Las Vegas, at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino.  I train all my artists personally, and our web business is handled by me or two other qualified people.
We'll turn your photo into a cartoon quickly, accurately, and humorously.

My Cartoon Style:

Since 1997 I've been drawing caricatures.  I've turned to portraits and silhouettes from time to time, but for over ten years, my bread and butter has been cartoons of people.  All the images here on the homepage are mine, as well as most of the gallery.  My goal as I draw is: to make every picture dynamic, exaggerated, and funny.  After examining faces carefully, I draw fast, letting the lines flow where they want.  My love of linework shows.  When coloring, I don't think I'm the best, but you can judge for yourself.

Turn Your Picture Into a Cartoon, Fast:

As soon as we see your order, we get to work.  Pictures are drawn either early in the morning or late in the evening.  Size is 10" X 14".  Upon completion, the caricature is scanned at 300DPI on a large-format Epson 836XL.  We know how difficult it is to scan large artwork on a 8.5" X 11" machine, and this is a complementary service.  After resizing the image to 3,000 px height, we dispatch it as an e-mail attachment.  You'll discover the cartoon in your inbox within 48 hours of placing the order.  Then we mat the original drawing and put it in the mail.

News:

02/04/2010  Over the holiday season, I picked up a lot of new work, and my website didn't see too many improvements over that time.  Starting from last month, I've been able to refocus, and learn a lot more HTML and SEO.  So you'll be seeing a lot of big improvements in the interface, display, and how well I do in search results.  I've found the time to give my site at least weekly updates, and already results are appearing.  Right now, I'm number one on Google for "Caricature stand Las Vegas!"  It's always surprising to compare the keywords I'm aiming for with the keywords I get.

11/18/2009   I've started a How To Draw Caricatures series, posted in installments on the Blog.  I'm updating weekly.  I also post a lot of miscellaneous work there, so click on the "How to draw caricatures and cartoons" tag to view only lessons.

   10/26 /2009  Overdue Update!

We just a dded Johnny Depp, Brad and Angelina, Michael Phelps, and Lucille Ball to the celebrity gallery.

05/07/2009   In late March we opened a new caricature stand!  It's at O'sheas Casino on the Las Vegas strip.  They approached us, because they had seen us working at Town Square on the weekends.  So far, business has been slow-but-steady, and we're looking to improve!

PRICE CUT!       We lowered our prices at our caricature stand in Las Vegas with very good results, so we're doing it here, too!  The economy is struggling along, and we know that means more work for less money for everyone.  So, take advantage!  It's the same product it was before, the best drawing we can do, now more affordable.        -Tielman

   07/22/2008

Welcome to my new site, CartoonVegas.com!    Here we can provide all the drawings and services that we normally offer through our caricature stand in Las Vegas, to anyone, anywhere.  I started this site for a couple of reasons:       We draw a lot of people that love their sketch and want someone else done, but haven't brought a photo.  Now you can send it to us!  You can even request your same artist if you want to.

We also meet a lot of people who really want a drawing, but are too nervous about sitting while strangers pass by and stare.  Now you can finally know what you'd look like in cartoon.  Oh, and you can send us the Good Picture, with your hair and clothes intact.

If it's your first time here, look in our Gallery to see how we draw.  Get your questions answered at How It Works, and if you've decided we can make you look sharp (and a little funny), find that picture you like and go to Order.  Thanks!                                 -Tielman
